The young
Palestinian researcher, Omran Al-Ashouri, was able to win two international
awards, after his success in achieving a world record in the field of modern
energy, by being able to improve the efficiency of what is known as double
solar cells.
The first
award that Al-Ashouri received is the award for the best doctoral dissertation
from the scientific city of Adlershof in Berlin for this year, and the second
award for the best doctoral dissertation at the Helmholtz Scientific Institutes
in Germany for the year 2021, which employs more than 8,000 doctoral students
at the present time.
The reasons
for awarding the two awards stated that Al-Ashouri succeeded in achieving the
world record in improving the efficiency of double solar cells, 'Tandem Solar
Cells' (silicon - perovskite), by 29.15 percent, surpassing the previous
record, which was registered in the name of the Oxford Solar Cell Company.
The prestigious
American science magazine 'Science' celebrated Al-Ashouri's scientific
achievement by publishing the research results he reached during his doctoral
studies at the Berlin Helmholtz Institute for Energy and Materials and the
Technical University of Berlin.
