The Palestinian young woman, Amal Shawabkeh, a medical student, won first place in the 2022 University Student Research Competition at Abu Dhabi University in the innovation category.

Amal competed in her project "No sliding on the roads" with more than 320 projects from 55 universities in the Middle East, Africa and the Arabian Gulf.

The “NSOR”project, the first of its kind in the world, aims to prevent vehicles from slipping on the roads by adding silica and rubber to the asphalt to increase its stability and reduce its agglomeration over time, thus preventing the formation of snow, which was proven during its participation in the 2016 program. Intensive training at the US Space Agency "NASA" and the University of Maryland in the United States of America.

Amal aspires to specialize in neurosurgery and work on more inventions that combine medicine and engineering to be one of the world's leading women.
