The Palestinian young woman, Sarah Al-Khatib, 20, won the title of “Person of the Year in Voluntary Work” in the Kingdom of Denmark, outperforming 211 other volunteers, after obtaining seven thousand and 203 votes.

Al-Khatib said that she "focused on promoting successful stories and narratives for residential complexes inhabited by a majority of Muslims and Arabs."

It is noteworthy that Sarah is a Palestinian from the village of Al-Bassa, in the district of Acre. Her grandparents immigrated in 1984 to the city of Sidon, south Lebanon.
