Adeeb Abdul Rahman Al-Desouki , (born in the city of Jaffa in 1914). He is a Palestinian boxer and trainer, champion of Palestine (he won the Palestine Championship in 1935) and the Middle East in boxing in the mid-twentieth century. He began his sports career in the Islamic Sports Club in Jaffa (established in 1926), and his coach was Dr. Haqqi Mazin, the boxing supervisor for this club. His father (Abdul Rahman Al-Desouki) was a player in Arab Tabban wrestling, a game that was popular in Palestine during the Ottoman era.
Adeeb Al-Desouki is considered one of the most prominent pioneers of the sport of boxing , as he played a major role in spreading the game of boxing in Palestine in particular and the Arab world in general, including Kuwait , Jordan and other Arab countries. As a result of the sporting victories witnessed in the wrestling rings, Al-Desouki was nicknamed “Middle East Champion.”
Al-Desouki conducted many matches with the Palestinian boxing champions in the Al-Hamra Cinema Hall and the Freres College Stadium in Jaffa.
He was arrested during the 1936 revolution , along with his father and brother, in Sarafand camp near Jaffa.
His beginnings
Adib Al-Desufi’s sporting beginnings were in Jaffa during the 1940s, where he founded a sports club called the Olympic Club. He also trained players in the Islamic Club in Jaffa.
He was in charge of training young athletes on the skills and principles of playing according to international standards, the result of which was that many amateur and professional boxers graduated from his hands. After 1948, he moved to permanent residence in Amman, where he began his career again and reshaped his club.

Al-Desouki won the Palestine Championship in 1935.
In September 1937, he competed with the champion of Syria and Lebanon, Mustafa Al-Arnaout, on the stage of the Frères School.
In January 1938, he competed with Mustafa Arnaout in Beirut, and the result was a draw.
In 1938, El-Desouki advanced to compete for the Egyptian heavyweight boxing championship.
In February 1942, a duel took place at the Edison Cinema Theater in Jerusalem between him and the Near Eastern hero, Mardos Bukrashian.
In December 1943, Adib El-Desouki traveled to Egypt and competed with Egyptian champion Abdo Kabrit.
In May 1944, Al-Desouki competed with one of the boxers from the Mukhtar Sports Club in Cairo, and the result was a draw.
In August 1945, he competed with world champion Mukhtar Hussein
In December 1946, Al-Desouki competed with Abdo Kabrit (who was nicknamed the brown rock of Egypt) and competed with him for the Egyptian heavyweight championship, defeating him in Egypt on points.
He last played in 1949 with the Egyptian champion at that time in Alexandria on May 15, 1949 for the Middle East Championship title.
